I jumped off the back porch the other day. I wasn't wearing my wing suit though. I''ll be OK in a few days. It's only a couple of feet high.

Last time I went off the porch (Aug.), I broke my left shoulder. Out of 9 broken bones (and this was just a major crack), it's been the worst to recover from. If the guy wants to jump off a mountain, sayonara dude!

When I was a little kid (age 5 or so), I got a Superman costume for Halloween.  And of course I thought the cape gave me the ability to fly.  My mom stopped me from jumping off our back deck (which was probably 10-15 feet off the ground) just in the nick of time.

Has anyone watched the You Tube video of the wing suit jumper that jumped off the cliff and you see he hit a cliff on the way down?  You see the color of his suit tangled in trees on the cliff face.  When they finally manged to get a rescue crew to rappel down to him, he was dead.

In the Himalayas, there is usually high whipping winds over the peaks.  The idiot may jump off a cliff at a lower level, but I doubt he can control where he lands. He will probably get smashed into the mountain side going down.

If he is determined to do it, more power to him. You should be able to live and potentially die as you want. I would prefer being shot in my 90s by my mistresses' husband as I ran out off her room rather than jump off a cliff. But that is just me.

I don't think he'll live to tell about it, assuming he jumps from the summit.  Too much can go wrong up there.  It won't be a typical base jump, IMO.

I will say, though, that if he is successful then subsequent summit climbers will be envious, because getting back down off that mountain is no easy task.
