I will be leaving the office at 11:30 today as usual on Friday. After taking most of last week for a vacation, this week has worn me out.

Thank you. That is all. Carry on.

This is my normal Friday off and my last Friday at full-time work.  Next Wednesday April 30 I join the ranks of The Retired. I plan on taking May off (possibly June also) before I consider part-time consulting.  I plan to never work for 40 hours a week for someone else if I can avoid it.  The company I now work for would like me to work part-time as needed to review and check engineering documents. 2-3 days a week for short periods of time. I told them I cannot promise to be anywhere before 9:00 AM and after 3:00 PM was problematic. 40+ years is long enough.  I have not saved and invested that long for nothing. I'll drink a beer later for ya.  The week back at work after vacation is grueling.

Congrats on your retirement.....I've been doing the part time consulting thing since 98 and it's awesome!   Looks like that will run out with current company by some time next year, or so they "think".....I'd like 2 more years before I retire completely, so hoping they have a little for me to do along the way.
