Yep. I don't think we can move the ball on them and I ain't sure we can slow them down. Could be ugly.

Since they beat bammer, I guess we can officially call them the best team money can buy. Nkimdeche alone might get 5 sacks next week.

I just want a good competitive game. That'd be really good. I think our defense is good enough to slow them down. Offense still a major question mark but maybe we play up to there level. GO VOLS!!!

I think our D is good and getting better every week. They'll keep us in every game we play. Next year, they could be one of the nation's best. Our offense can be effective against most anyone as long as they can stay in front of the chains. But against SEC defenses, a sack is basically a drive killer. And when you're taking 5-6 of them every game, it's really tough to overcome. Think of it this way- we average around 10 possessions a game. If we're taking a sack on 5 of them, we're basically cutting our scoring opportunities in half. That's a killer in SEC play. Unfortunately, there's no magical cure for what ails our OL. The '82 Redskins line isn't walking through that door any time soon. The guys we do have just need a whole offseason in the weightroom to physically develop, and Butch has to recruit them some help for next year.

I don't expect Ole Miss to score much on us if we're able to give them a long field. Offensively, however, I expect a complete nightmare. Ole Miss's D is one of the best in the nation. If we turn the ball over and give them short fields, it could get ugly.

May very well burn Dobbs' redshirt next week.

It's probably going to be ugly.
I do think we can slow their offense, but their DL against our OL is frightening. Maybe we can have some two TE sets or something, but...

Get the ball out quick. If we can't protect, why is Bajakian calling plays that require 2 seconds plus for Worley to get the ball out?

While I'm not a HUGE fan of going the Jr. College route, I'm not totally against it. Surely there are some decent ones out there that we could put on a short leash and take a chance on.

I think this line will continue to develop and be much better next season, and hopefully by the end of the year. At the same time, I think it's clear we need more help there. Definitely hope we have some good talent coming in and maybe snag a JUCO or two next year. I don't think these guys are enough.

The time to load up on juco OL would've been in this past recruiting class. And they did get Blair, but it looks like he's going to be a bust. At this point we might as well just get some high schoolers and coach them up.

Prospects have to go to juco for several reasons, most of them not good ones. and more times that not because of academics.
Honestly, in this day and time if a prospect can't get an 18 on the ACT and have a 2.2 in the core classes, then they don't belong at a major university in the first place.
For every CP that comes out of juco, there are a dozen who either are busts or just plain wasted schollys.
