offense of Auburn's and with him as DC,  could have success there. But he was there before and left on not the best terms with the school.

Not surprising.  I am wondering if he can bottle lightning twice...he had really talented DEs before that might have just made him look good.

He did well enough at Texas until the very end.  We will see how he does.

I don't think whatever terms he was or wasn't on with the school matter at this point.  Malzahn wasn't really on good terms with the school when he left either.  Its a bidness, you know?

And once again, your opinion remind me of a certain other fan base.

The Auburn writer on their 247 site says Auburn does want him, and is told Muschamp would be receptive. I don't if that's true but that's his opinion. Yes, I heard some Auburn fans say there is ill feelings between Muschamp and a big AU booster, but also don't know if that's valid.

Hm, I misread volsboy and thought he was already there.  It would seem a natural fit, but USCe still seems more likely to me. Muschamp may not want to go to the same school twice.

He may "pull a Cutcliffe" and go back for a couple years then take a job at a smaller school.

Just read on our board a Jacksonville, Fl. radio station is reporting both Auburn and Texas A&M have made offers to Muschamp. Also read while Ward hasn't been officially fired yet at USCe,  Spurrier is also talking with Muschamp.

Don't think his previous stint there would be an issue at all.  Most of the athletic administration who were there when Mushy was there before have moved on.  About the only thing that would affect a situation like that would be if he stole or cheated the University.

Bama does not want them to hire Muschamp as DC. He's a good DC, and will get a lot more out of the very good Defensive talent they have been recruiting than Ellis Johnson did.

Not very concerned.  As long as Bama takes care of their own business, I and others have no reason to be. As long as Auburn's coach is not named Nick Saban the Tide is in good shape. While they're exceptions, defenses at schools that run that fast a hurry-up offense as Malzahn's often seem to have a tough time. Besides, Bama recruited exceptionally well last year, and for the next, at the OL position where they had fallen off since 2012 and have recruited well at the offense skill positions.

While Muschamp is a very good defensive coach, and has personally learned from two of the best in Bill Oliver and Nick Saban, and I can think of other coordinators I would rather see there, his work would be cut out for him at Auburn but will certainly help them.

Wonder if it would affect his buyout.
