2 things stood out:
1) Hurd was a BEAST!
2) For most of the game Dobbs was a liability in the passing game.  Most of his completions were dinks to Hurd and Pearson.  Only 4 non swing passes were completed to receivers not named Pig; the wheel to Pearson, 2 seam routes by TEs and the TD to Croom.  The overwhelming majority of passes longer than 15 yards were bad, bad, bad and 2-3  additional passes should have been picked.

The real success in the bowl game was the improvement in the passing game by Dobbs.  Yes he had a couple of bad misses but in general he was much more consistent and on target.  If Dobbs can build upon the bowl game the offense will be difficult to contain.

Agree....The passing game looked better in the bowl. We've got to continue to get better in our downfield passing game. Need to get more production out of our WRs as a whole. Injuries had a lot to do with it but overall our WRs were a disappointment this past season. It became evident that Pig was Dobbs favorite target. We've got the talent at WR we should be able to spread it around more.

I'd also like to see us get a main set of WRs and use them the largest % of the time......The running them in and out so much IMO doesn't let them or the QB get into the flow of the game.

If the line improves Dobbs will actually have time to throw downfield.

It's hard to see how the ol will not improve but you never know till they play.
