No, I am not talking about furniture trends...

Faton Bauta will apparently start at QB for UGA this weekend.

significant amount of time....throwing someone with essentially 0 experience into their biggest game of the year is not wise IMHO.

I hope Georgia wins tomorrow for all the obvious reasons, but also because a loss could spell the end of the Richt era. I think Richt is a pretty solid coach, but I don't really FEAR him...and UGA could do better. The last thing we need right now is for the SEC East to become more difficult.

I disagree with the part about the East getting more difficult. I want it to get back to normal. UT, UF and UGa fighting for the East title. I want USCe and Mizzou to be relegated to their appropriate spots of 4th and 5th in the East. Mizzou has gotten enough of a break since joining the SEC. They are lucky they came in when UT and UF were down. I hope it will be quite a while before they win the East again.

I bought one of those at Rooms To Go.  0% interest and no payments for three years.  Great deal.

I got one too, but it folded up on me pretty quick. I don't know, maybe I put too much pressure on it. I got mine at IKEA and I think they should have done more testing before releasing it to the public.

I think the Ikea version is called Faton Nordsvengaardquist.

I remember the good ol' days when all you needed was a Couch instead of a Faton Bauta.

I understand that WVU fans are going to start burning Faton Bautas instead of couches after big wins.  Supposedly, it's better for the environment.

This has devolved into one of the more amusing threads of late.

I too am pulling for UGA, because I'd hate to see them with a great coach. Richt has survived this long because UF and UT had atrocious management. I do not want a blowout...though it's headed that way fast.

I'm pretty sure that the Faton Bauta in my living room can play QB about as effectively as this guy for UGA.

Hell, even Butch had the good sense to bench Peterman after halftime.

Did I mention that my Faton Bauta was supposed to be delivered to my next door neighbors, but I intercepted the delivery truck before it reached their place?

I'll be here all week, folks.

He threw his 4th pic to seal the game with about 1:30 left.

You guys questioning Richt...well first of all he did survive the Herban years, so I wouldn't say UT and UF had "terrible management" the entire time.

I'm not saying he doesn't underachieve, because he does, but some act as if he is a "D-" coach while the reality is that he's more like a "B" or "B-".

He isn't a terrible coach, just one that chokes away a game or two a year.

He has won two SEC championships and has a 0.741 win percentage at UGa.  They have also won the East 5 times and were an eyelash away from beating bammer in 2012 (though part of that is definitely on Richt at the end of that game).

Further, while Georgia has the third most talent of any SEC state (after Texas and Florida) it's still not as good a recruiting ground as Florida, and it's not even close.

Bottom line....he could definitely have done better, but there is also DEFINITELY no guarantee that a replacement will be any better.

He will not be fired this year short of losing the rest of his games, which is highly unlikely.

So what I hope happens this year is he beats Kentucky at home and Georgia Tech on the road, beats Ga Southern and skates by at 8-4, then the wheels come off completely next year when we beat them by 3 TDs and THEN they go through a really bad coaching change and stay down for a few years.

They also play Auburn, which earlier in the season I would have said was an easy win for them but now seems likely a loss.

Who knows...if he loses badly to Auburn and GaTech AND loses to Kentucky to finish 6-6, maybe they will fire him.  But I doubt it.  Given his past success, he likely has one more year no matter what.
