Damn...just damn. I am 55 and I just cringe at all the entertainers I grew up with dying. Sad news!

His personal style was always pretty questionable but his music was awesome, IMO.

The great ones always seem to die before their time.  Meanwhile, Bieber and Miley Cyrus will both live forever, and continue to put out shizzlety "music" into their 90s.

well now, those two are definitely the other end of the spectrum.  Give it time.  Quick, name a recent song by Brittney Spears or Christina Aquilera?  Or going back a ways, try Madonna even.  They will fade, trust me.

I never cared that much for him or his music, but it's always sad to hear that a guy like that passed.  He was past his prime when I started listening to rock in the mid 80s, but I did like Modern Love up to a point.  Going back, Major Tom is my fave by him.

One thing I could never get past was his then wife claiming during divorce proceedings that she caught him in bed with Mick Jagger.

That has to be top five of the most hurl-worthy news of all time, if not number one.

Bowie also frequently recorded with Stevie Ray Vaughan in the 80's- which if you ask me, is one of the most unlikely collaborations in rock history.  But it worked.
