Cuonzo ran away from UT when the going got tough and it looks like he is ready to run again from Cal. He looks like such a genius coach and recruiter for a year or two until knowledgeable basketball fans get a look at what a numskull coach he really is. So Cal may get to experience cut-and-run Cuonzo at his best (or worst).

Frankly I was glad to see him go when he did. Decent man, bad coach. But he is proving that he runs from adversity.

If I respected Seth Davis opinions, maybe I would mind. But I do not so my opinion still is my opinion.

Cuonzo is a decent man, bad coach, and a quitter when the going gets tough.

And for the record, Bruce is a liar that got caught and should never be allowed to coach at UT ever again. I never signed a petition to bring Bruce back.

The brand of racist they have at Cal is probably upset that he hasn't spoken out forcefully in favor of Black Lives Matter.

Different coast, different color brand of racist

In fairness, he doesn't seem to be getting run oft at Cal by unhappy fans, and Georgia Tech is a fairly high visibility program with a decent tradition and they are in the ACC.  Doesn't look to me like his career is exactly circling the drain.

He remains what I always thought he was...an average to slightly above average coach whose recruiting is a bit questionable.   Also inconsistent.
