Who knows with Hurd? He was hit pretty hard early in the game...concussion maybe? Something not right with him for sure.

TIFWIW, but Rob Lewis in his post-game wrap up mentioned Hurd and the 'drama' going on there. I don't have the exact quote, but he used the word drama. Maybe he's speculating, who knows, but it makes you wonder if something is going on there.

Several guys whom I trust say that Hurd has a touch of Arianfosteritis concerning the way he is being used. While some of it may be warranted with Butch's Mickey Mouse MAC level offensive scheme, sometimes you just have to suck it up and go get it done.

Well, not to make excuses but in his defense we keep handing the ball to him and before he can start running he is being hit in the backfield. Between scheme and poor OL play we have no inside running game. On defense we keep being beat with misdirection yet we don't try it on offense. Why?

I hate that Hurd is proving to be a drama problem. What a great ambassador for this program he could've been. I agree with Herb: You suck it up and play.
However, there's something almost criminal about the way Hurd has been misused in this regime's offensive scheme. In a pro-style offense, he could've been the SEC's best running back the past two seasons, Leonard Fournette and Nick Chubb not withstanding. I get that you don't retool your offense for a single player, but is there anyone who is confident that Butch's offense can be consistently successful against SEC defenses? I'm biased, because I hate the style of play, but after two offensive coordinators, maybe it's time to admit that the problem isn't the guy wearing the headset up in the booth (although I think DeBord is a MAC-level offensive coordinator at best).

Agree 100%. No one is above the team.

Apparently to his head Twice that we are aware of that he quit on his team in game
Could explain his altercation with Dobbs Saturday night in the 4th quarter

I wasn't convinced that he was injured when the UGA DB blasted him at the goal line when it happened and I'm still not convinced. I immediately thought that he was taunting the other DB and was benched accordingly.
It seems like the bits and pieces are starting to paint the picture

I think several players are down on Dobbs...When you have a QB that tries to throw a 10 yard pattern and the ball hits the ground at 6 yards I'd be down on him too. Our running game has suffered because Dobbs can't throw it most of the time. If we played Carson-Newman tomorrow they'd put 8-9 in the box and not respect Dobbs passing ability one bit. There's a reason Muschamp said the other night..."We have to make Dobbs play quarterback". Muschamp isn't as dumb as some folks think.

Agree. Moosechump may be a dweeb and lacking as a head coach, but he is still one hell of a defensive mind and a great DC. He proved that once again Saturday night. He forced the action. And on Carson-Newman, the only saving grace there would be that C-N is having a down year this year. Might be a decent football game.

As Doug Mathews said on Big Orange Sunday yesterday.....Bama gave the blueprint on how to shutdown UT's offense. If you don't go downfield more in the passing game UT will see that same blueprint that Bama and USC used to shut us down going forward.
