And not just a good football player......a class young man too. I'm proud to know this entire family.... they are all first class people.

My wife and me got to sit with the Smith family at the announcement ceremony....we were sitting about 10 feet from the stage. Ole Tnphil darn near jumped up on the stage when Trey put on the UT cap. Yesterday I got a good feeling (and some info) how this was going to go....but in the recruiting game you never know.

I've been around this recruitment of Trey for the past 3 years.....Butch and the UT staff have been relentless in the recruitment of Trey Smith. I commend them for their hard work and I can say for 100% fact......The Smith family has all the respect in the world for Butch Jones.

With all this said.......I reserve the right to bitch, cuss, kick and spit at Butch and company when they pi$$ me off.

Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

To be honest....I didn't see a lot that looked older than me.

This whole ceremony lasted about 45 minutes. The school headmaster spoke.....Trey's coach that wasn't retained after last season after 27 years coaching there and coached Trey his freshman, soph. and junior year spoke. Then the current coach spoke and after him Trey got up and gave a pretty emotional talk for about 10 minutes. (hard day for them with Trey's Mom who passed away less than 2 years ago not being there). After that it was about 10 minutes before ESPNU went live....So we sat there like knots on a log waiting for the coverage to begin.

The ESPNU cameraman who was 5 feet from me had a Bama hat on......Loved it!!

I'd have pulled for the young man regardless of where he committed, but I'm thrilled he's a Vol.

I knew you would get the job done, given you were the bag man, Philly.

Phil, was it as loud as it seemed on the video when he announced he was attending TN?
