Pruitt's statement:

Quote
As university processes have progressed relating to Bryce Thompson, we've all taken this situation very seriously. I believe Bryce can grow by following the plan the university has put in place for him. As a result, I am allowing him to return to practice.

Am I reading too much into it... Or does it not specify whether he'll actually play in games or not?

I gathered from the statement he is back practicing but I don't expect him to play this week.
I suspect he has gates to attain before he sees the field, not dissimilar to JJ's return

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

From what I read it was stupid on Thompson's part to blow up the way he did but it looks like all he really did wrong was take his frustrations out on that poor gate. Make him pay for the damages, take some anger management courses and hopefully he will learn from it. Go Vols!

That was my take, too.

While I hope it's not a mistake, I do think what he did is something that can be worked through. I think it's fairly common really.  I had a friend in college that I went to visit in his apartment, and there was a hole in his wall.  He saw me looking at it, grinned, and said "yeah I have a temper".  And I can neither confirm nor deny that my hallway may have had some fresh plaster on it a few years ago.

He might be a sombitch, but he's a sombitch we need.  CBs were totally overmatched against BYU, hate to see what even Felipe might do to them without Thompson.

Looks like the Bama way of doing things are now bleeding through to the Orange

Have no issues with it if he follows the plan.
