We have an opening on the staff. Fulmer takes over as HC and demotes Pruitt to DC.

If Pruitt doesnt like it, he can take a hike. And since thats voluntary, he dosn't get a buyout.

Fulmer's rationale is that Pruitt needs help learning to be an HC.

Only potential issue is contractual. If Pruitt's contract specifically says "head coach" how do you get around that? I suspect that so long as the University keeps him employed they are good.

And yeah, Im not really that serious with this, but what are we supposed to discuss with no game?

Seriously though, this might work!

Just move Poot Gump to DC....Hire Freeze...he would come here cheap...Can Chaney because Freeze is the OC and play caller. and give that 1.6 million to Freeze on top of another million. Saban will call Poot Gump and bring him back to Bama as DC. Problem solved.

Only UT would fire a coach that couldn't handle the 1 program he was responsible for and then hire him back to be over the entire athletic department. And folks wonder why we are in the $hitter and the laughing stock of the SEC.

Contract says head coach. We would still owe him the buyout.

Not if he quits.

If he's demoted from the head coaching position then he's fired as tne head coach. Jimmy Sexton isn't stupid. I guarantee that is covered in the contract.

Fulmer needs to go to. Never agreed with him being a AD. He brings too much divisiveness with him.  Coach worth his salary will not work for Phat Phil.

I didn't think it was possible, but one can seriously make the case that Pruitt is worse than Butch.

He's at a crossroads for sure. Unfortunately.
