Sure there is another to follow in a day or 2.

We are going to have a new team next year pretty much with the NBA declares and what is transferring.

Interestingly, Jaden had the better stats but Keon will go very high in round 1

It ended with a whimper, but when we were "on" it was fun this year.

Good luck to him.  Enjoyed watching him play while we had him.

I wish both Keon and Jaden success. They are great athletes and made this year’s team better.

Having said that, I am not a fan of one-and-done players on our basketball team. I do not think that is the recipe for championships, which is what I hope for our program.

Next year we get Chandler. He’s an incredible guard and will be fun to watch, but he’s almost definitely here for one year and then he’s gone. That’s no way to build teams that have continued success, imo.

Agree 100%. I don't even feel like I know who Springer and Johnson are, and now they're leaving. It's so much easier to invest in the program as a fan when the players are guys like Admiral Schofield and Grant Williams and John Fulkerson who are around long enough that you feel they're just as invested in the program as we are as fans. Obviously that's a totally different argument against one-and-done than the recipe for championships, but it is another aspect of it. This team was fun enough to watch, but it was one of my least favorite teams ever.

I completely agree, CW.  That's another very valid point, imo.

While Keon and Springer always played hard and gave effort, one-and-done athletes will never have the buy-in to the university and the program that kids like Fulky, Grant, and Admiral had.  For them, this one year at UT was simply a step on the path to the league.

Yep.  Truth be told, will we even remember Keon and Jaden years down the road?  I doubt it.  Nothing against them, but it is what it is.

Mercenaries (hopefully not in the literal sense, but pretty sure the UK ones are) .

But no one will remember a mercenary, not really.

I did appreciate them while here though and wish them luck.
