Surprise! Surprise!  Like OU isn't doing the same?  Like all schools don't do this?

I guess the real issue is that schools like A&M and Texas have such deep pockets that most others are going to have trouble keeping pace.

Here's an example: https://www.chron.com/sports/highschool/article/Most-expensive-high-school-football-stadiums-Texas-13145194.php

I was just about to post this. I can’t prove it’s true, but I believe it. A&M just signed arguably the greatest class of all time. 18 of their 25 signees/commits are top 100 overall guys.

Clearly, A&M had their ducks in a row when NIL became legal. The rest of us were caught flat-footed to different degrees. But if you think that bammer, UGA, LSU, etc. aren’t working to match or exceed that next year, then I have a ski resort in Florida to sell you.

This is what UT is going to have to do if they want to compete. But to be honest, if this is the future of big time college athletics, I’m going to lose interest very quickly.

College football as the game that most of us know and love is dead. It's not a matter of if the stench of rot becomes unbearable. It's when. I suspect it own't be long.

I doubt that college basketball will be exempted.  I'm fearful that both sports will drastically change (for the worse) over the next few years.  I really hope that I'm wrong about that.
