I am very against paying college players, but these players make perfect sense....there is so much money involved here that the players deserve a share.  I like the idea of expanded medical coverage and possibly compensating those who don't make the pros after they graduate.  I'd much rather see the money distributed more or less equally or more going to those based on need, ie, taking care of the families of the players who need it.  I'd hate to see a "star" system implemented where hot recruits get lion shares of the dough.
