And Richardson is VERY mobile. We'll have to outscore them IMO.

Its 60 minutes in  a game, they look less solid by the minute, IMO.

Not impressed at all with their run D, Utah is just plowing right through them.

From a distance it might look to some like we are a pass happy offense, but we are not, its about 51/49 passing and we usually pile up some yards rushing.

IMO, Utah is overrated and they're doing some things to expose Florida's defense...they just can't finish.

I look at it like this: If they convert the two 4th downs inside the 5-yard-line (and one of them was inches off the goal line when they inexplicably handed off to the tailback rather than running a QB sneak), they're up 40-22 right now.

Three times inside the 10-yard-line for Utah with no points to show for it. Butch Jones'ish.

The QB should have thrown a safer pass there at the end.  They had a lock on a tie, go for the TD by all means, but whatever you do, don't throw the pick and don't get sacked!  Football 101.

Agree it was kind of like Jones.

fizzle Florida anyway.  I don't care if they steamroll their next two opponents, I still expect us to beat them.  Like  a drum.

I went from feeling 50/50 we beat them to about 30/70, based on both teams performances. That QB is going to make a highlight reel on our D.

Mullen who? This FL team is better coached and more disciplined than they ever were under Mullen. Damn it!!

I wouldn't bet a solid dollar we can beat them.

It will take a very good effort on both sides of the ball for Tennessee to beat this UF squad, imo.

8-4 was, and still is, my target. Anything more would be a really good year. We still don’t have the level of D1 athletes on defense that you need in this league, imo.

OTOH, our offense is light years ahead of Utah...which was 3 routine plays away from putting up nearly 50 on the Gator defense. If Florida doesn't shore things up on that side of the ball, there's no reason we can't out-score them.

after todays games the SEC looks pretty strong. Arky may be tough. I really expected UF to lose to Utah. We need to beat Pitt to make me feel a little more confident.

We gotta find a defense, and fast.
A few notes:
The offense "seemed" potent but really only is as good as the QB was, against a slow defense

Their defense was ran through like crap through a goose

They ended up being extremely lucky to win

The atmosphere in Neyland on the 24th will be electric, and accuse me of wearing orange tinted glasses but I still believe we win

I hope as the year goes on we get more hard nosed as a team.....We run a fast paced finesse offense which makes our defense not very hard nosed. It was understandable last season but needs to change this season. Bama's defense is very good...but when they went more wide open and pass happy their defense wasn't as hard nosed as it was...

I like our type of offense in a way...Don't much like our warp speed way of things....It can wear out your fat big ugly OL.....and your defense. Going faster is one thing but warp speed is another.

FL will be a good home team and a not so good road team - still we usually play our worst game against FL so I am not getting my hopes up.
