There is lots of speculation that The Pirate suffered cardiac arrest. You can look up the statistics regarding cardiac arrests outside hospital environments but the bottom line is they're not good...terrible, actually.

Hopefully the news has been overblown but it doesn't sound good.

Yes. I have been reading a lot about the situation. A lot of it posted from Miss State folks and they are making it sound bad. I've read cardiac arrest and also stroke. With internet rumors I'll just wait until something official comes out. He was airlifted to Jackson...they don't fly someone 130 miles away usually unless it's serious.

If it is true he was in cardiac arrest for 10-15 minutes it's all but over. I hope I am wrong. The family is probably grappling with the decision to pull the plug IF they can legally. Very, very sad.
