This one hurts. We're going in shorthanded against a good defense.

Hasn't Clemson lost some players? We have 3 or 4 freshman that haven't played. And we have Merrill, White, Keyton, McCoy... Hopefully lol

Between an opt out and injury they are missing a couple key players on defense

Disappointing to me, as he had unfinished business

Time for Squirrel to play Groundhog Day with repeated trips to the end zone!
IT is clear there is a trust factor between he and Milton

Don't get me wrong it's disappointing. What's stopping players from opting out of the playoffs? Surprised that hasn't happened yet. It has to be agents and/or lawyers giving this advice.

Darnell Wright is still playing I know we need/want to win this game. To beat Alabama, LSU, Clemson, and heck even lowly Florida   would be awesome! OTOH it is an opportunity to showcase some of what next year will look like. I think some of our backups are better than we might think... Keyton for example.

Imo, the next move is players opting out during the season, especially once the playoffs are out of reach.

One could suggest that certain SEC players more or less did that this year (non VOL)

It's the correct business decision, and it also gives coaches a preview of 2023.

I read a post a couple days ago there have been a opt out or 2 of players in the playoffs? I didn't see any names or teams. It was a comment in a thread about bowl opt outs and it was happening in the playoffs and there will be more when its expanded to 12 teams.

Ohio State's top linebacker opted out.

I just cannot even fathom that mindset.

Very lame.

Now, he may be nursing a nagging injury and be at risk of making it serious, but other than that its a chicken shizzle decision.
