I know that's sarcasm, but at least ot is possible. That hasn't been true in a long time.

You aint wrong. I would not be surprised if we beat them all. Or if we lost to them all. That would be disappointing though. I don't think we lose to UF.

UF is one we should win, for sure

The Vols should beat UF.
I don't believe your team will beat Bama on the road, but it could happen.
But there is no way the Vols are beating the Dawgs this season.  This one is already circled on the calendar, and Kirby will make this a statement game.

Go Dawgs!

Considering Georgia's schedule, there isn't much to circle.

Totally agree.  That's why this game is YUGE for UGA!  Everyone is pointing to this game for the East this year.

It's a flat laughable schedule.

I would imagine it's the easiest schedule any SEC team has played in a long, long time. They've had it easy for a while now, schedule-wise, but this season takes the cake. Thoughts and prayers to them from 2024 on.

But Kirby's never really shied away from playing tougher OOC opponents since he's been at UGA.  Sometimes stuff happens (covid season, SEC canceling the OU series, etc.), but UGA has pretty much played a respectable OOC schedule since 2016 - except for this year.   Most UGA fans prefer to play a nationally-recognized opponent during the regular season.  I will say this - the upcoming 12-team playoff will make the regular season less important by comparison.  A 4-team playoff means that you can't hardly screw up during the regular season, or your not making the CFP.  The 12-team era will provide more cushion.  We'll start to see some 2-loss at-large teams make the 12-team CFP field.

Most notable OOC UGA opponent each year:
2016: UNC
2017: at ND
2018: GT
2019: ND
2020: N/A (covid season)
2021: Clemson (Charlotte)
2022: Oregon
2023: GT
2024: Clemson (ATL)
2025: at UCLA
2026: UCLA
2027: at FSU
2028: FSU
2029: at Clemson
2030: Clemson, Ohio St.
2031: at Ohio St.
2032: Clemson
2033: at Clemson

I wasn’t really referring to OOC. You have to admit that no one has gotten a better deal when it comes to SEC scheduling. Yes, a big part of that is the East being down. But your permanent West opponent is a program that recently has only gotten their shizzle together once every 5 years or so. You’ve only played bama (in the regular season) once every 6 years. Ditto for LSU, and they’re hit&miss anyway. No one else in the west has been a consistent challenge.

But obviously that all changes starting in 2024. Those schedules are going to be murderous for everyone, and no one will be able to hide from it. Will UGA keep all those big future OOC games if/when the SEC slate expands to 9 or 10 games?

Yep....I remember not too many years ago it had been years....lots of years since UGA had crossed the Mississippi river to play a game. And as you posted they've avoided Bama like the plague. Bless their hearts they play Auburn though who fires their football coaches about every 3 years.

Thus the reson for considering the new rule, the players - attacking the VICTIM of an unwarranted attack by a thug bamer player
