he had (in 3 yrs) IIRC 38 TDs to 26 INTs and negative rushing yards. Described as a "true pocket passer"....I predict a very, very bad year in the SEC for Mr. Mertz.   Hope so! He had a great start at Wisky but fizzled quickly |

Indicators say he's not elusive (bad news in the SEC, I know Milton isn't either but with our offense he can get rid of the ball quick plus we have great run game) and evidently a poor decision maker given the TD to INTs ratio (if he can't complete passes in the Big 10 he certainly won't improve in the SEC). Can't wait for FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESEE ! My apologies VOLMAN. You certainly did nothing wrong. The team stunk it up in Gainesville again. When will we learn? |

You are a number & stats guy. I understand your logic. My casual observation is ANYTIME it is noted the QB hasn't thrown any interceptions, it ALWAYS happens in the very worst possible way. Just like last night. Lol. |

Apology accepted.....we're all licking our wounds after realizing that the season is over after 3 games (seems familiar). Mertz isn't a good QB but we evidently don't even have a decent one in the stables. I'm hoping maybe this embarrassment will let Joe relax and just sling the damn ball, just don't sit in the pocket and take sacks! WTF...we have Nico. Come on. |
