Played Pirate looks at 40 this morning.  Seemed fitting (also one of my favorite Buffett songs as well)

The first time I ever cried over a celebrity death was George Jones of all things.  Today was the second.   Getting soft in my old age, I guess

Kind of surreal that he died on Labor Day weekend (the end of summer).   Supposedly skin cancer (he also had lymphoma)

I was never a parrot head, but I liked Come Monday, Margaritaville, and Honey Why Don't We Get Drunk, etc.... Jones OTOH is one of the greatest voices of all time, any genre, imo... Worthy of a tear

He was one of a kind. Never heard anything derogatory about him. .. Hope it's always five o'clock for him in heaven.

He was evidently a very savvy businessman, too. Net worth estimated to be $1 billion at death. Willie Nelson could have learned a thing or two from Buffett

To put that in perspective George Strait is "only" worth $300 million.
Mick Jagger is "only" worth $520 million. You could go through any list of entertainers or athletes, and just a handful would be as wealthy as Buffett. Very impressive.

Well, I can make a pretty educated guess as to where most of Jagger's fortune went.

That he is still alive is one of the most amazing questions ever.

I don't judge, but as a betting man I would take whatever odds are given that the gates of hell will swing wide open when he does die.

I think you boys are confusing Jagger with Keith Richards. Jagger partied for sure, so did Buffett. Pretty sure Jagger has been clean for decades. Could be wrong, don't think so.
