I keep waiting for the mustangs to make their appearance.  That changed the daytime bombing considerably.

Also, my pastor, when I was a kid, was a waist gunner on a B17.  25 missions but went on one more when a crew was down one.  Spent rest of war as a POW.
Found Jesus, as you can imagine, in the Stalag and it stuck.
