80s Dale Ellis
90s Wade Houston (too bad his dad was the coach)
00s Chris Lofton 
10s Grant (tip of the hat to the Admiral)
20s Knecht (so far)

Where is Knecht on this list?  Definitely above Ellis and probably Grant, I'd put him over Lofton, Wade Houston and particularly Bernard are tough to move him ahead of.

So maybe it goes like this

Grant

And I don't do Tennessee basketball prior to the 70s...that's before my time.

Knecht is inconsistent. He will score 39 one game and 15 the next. King was money about every night.

(I still remember listening to John's call of the triple OT win at Miss State to win the 67 SEC Championship on my transistor radio)

As far as your list goes
In the 80's I'd add a Hat Tip to Tony White

I would, for the moment, have Lofton over Knecht (by a red hair) for his body of work
If Knecht continues to score at all 3 levels, have fewer nights like Sat night, and we make it 4 rounds in the NCAT then yes, I'd move him up

Also, I'd have Ernie ahead of Elis
I spent a lot of time in Stokley watching the Ernie and Bernie show
Even more fun was watching Joe B. Hall vs Ray Mears

Agree, and I am pretty sure he is ahead of Ellis.  But with Ellis the team did better (made the tourney and advanced) and had more success in the NBA and just was more of a force out there IMO.

But I could see White being in over Ellis.
