At least assuming we can?t get someone like Staley or Hammons, I think I like USCw coach Gottlieb the most. USC is our historical peer in this sport- one of the pioneering programs that had long been dormant, and she quickly revived them. Plus, she has the #1 recruiting class in America committed for next year, so maybe she could bring some/all of them with her.

I like the Gottlieb idea. Hammons might be good but I don't know if she would come back to college after coaching in the pros. But who knows?

Here's my two cents not about who it should be. An awful lot of basketball was taught on the ladies' side over the years... elite basketball. Kellie was close. Pat at her low hit Kellie's high a few times. I'm not suggesting that it is necessary that they stay in-house... but it would not surprise me if the answer to this dilemma is a name we would be familiar with.
