He was our leading tackler last season...that's a bit surprising, he wasn't on my radar that much.  But also disappointing.

He was our leading tackler last season...that's a bit surprising, he wasn't on my radar that much.  But also disappointing.   
He was going to be burried on the depth chart this year
He only played because Pili was hurt the first game
He hurt us badly in pass defense
Often took wrong first steps in run fits

This year, Pili, Telander, Carter and others were ahead of him coming out of the spring

IMO he is a better Big 10 fit as a LB

IMO he is a better Big 10 fit as a LB

Agreed Pirate, good against the run but an absolute detriment against the pass. With all of the young guys gaining experience I think we'll be ok.
