Great start by Bean. Very impressive. At one point his strike to ball ratio was like 34 to 3 Also helped that they were swinging at literally everything. Didn't he only have like 20 pitches through 3 innings? |

Yes. I think the 2nd inning was best. Two straight (and deep!) popups on the first pitch, followed by a grounder thrown out at first on a 1/2 count, so basically 6 pitches in the (I think) 2nd inning. That was the one where Ensley (I think?) crashed into the wall on the first deep fly. What great defensive play that was, set the stage for the rest of the game. |
