Been here since 6pm Saturday evening. I passed out in my recliner and my wife shook me back life I guess. I've had every test known to man over the last few days and they have been good results. Based on my blood tests it indicates I've had a cardiac issue... I have a heart cath scheduled this afternoon.

The doctors I've seen here all have asked me....Was you watching a football game that upset you?  ...I've told them my Vols didn't even play Saturday

Get well soon Phil!

Caths these days are much less stressful (especialy  through the wrist) than the old days (I unfortunately have some experience ...)

Look forward to a good report, as soon as the wife lets you have your ohone back

Not what I was wanting from the cath....Looks like bypass. I'm meeting with the surgeon tomorrow to get my options.

Ouch!

Sorry to hear that my friend

The near term is going suck but long term perhaps the best solution

Keep us informed as best you can and hope and pray the procedure and recovery goes well!

Probably drop you a DM tomorrow

Thanks to all my Vol friends....

Met with the surgeon and his team today....The head surgeon is of the opinion that my passing out/seizure event Saturday evening is not connected to my heart blockage. He has ordered other tests to try to find out if anything else is going on. He said it could be an electrical thing going on in the heart or brain....It could be from my stroke...that after a stroke a part of your brain dies and it can just short circuit without warning...etc. He wants to find out what might be going on before surgery. He doesn't want this event to happen while I'm having surgery....Looks like I will be released tomorrow....they are going to fit me with a monitor that is monitored 24/7 for 2 weeks. Then I will see the surgeon with results and surgery scheduling....Big part of me wants to get this over with. If I get out I just might get on Amtrak and head West and hide  ...I've always said if you want to make a criminal pay....sentence him to the electric chair...and 2 hours before the switch is pulled tell him we've decided to put it off for 2 weeks. Then 2 weeks later let it get down to 20 minutes and delay it again.

To say the least I will not watch the UT game....My heart can't take the stress. So pull the Big Orange on to Victory. I will go out to the country 5 miles from my house. Park in the entrance to a cotton field and count stars

Prayers again brother.  Your comments make me laugh b/c I have long told my family that the day they tell me I have Alzheimer's is the day I take a rifle and a backpack and head to Alaska.  See how long I last while I still have some wits about me.

Hang in there.  You will be almost as good as new.

If you take the break you describe, you'll be living my dream. I'm trying my best to get back to our farm in the metropolis of Philadelphia TN and count the stars at night

Prayers for you, your family and the doctors in your path homie <3
