So, Kiffin to Florida?

Discuss among yourselves.

I appreciate your sarcasm. I assume that it's sarcasm.

The question is: Looking back in time, what would have happened it Kiffin had not left UT for Southern Cal?

Yes, we might have incurred NCAA penalties. But, where would we have been then?

I think, probably, better off.

I think so. I definitely think that things would have been better than Dooley, Jones and Pruitt.

Sheesh, what a wander through the wilderness we went through.

Ironically, wasn?t the 10 second runoff at the end of the half that took Floridas FG away from the Dooley Music City bowl?  Pretty sure that game was the origin of that rule.

hard to follow this thread, but yes, the 10 second runoff is the "dooley rule".  That was 100% on ole Bush League.

True story...I was taking my dog to the dog park right before the game, heard Derrick Dooley and Tyler Bray together on ESPN radio.  Dooley picked Vols, Bray picked Florida.  Also commented that he helped get Dooley fired.  I appreciate the great offense Bray ran in 2012 , but he was a dick then, and still is!    But also wrong, today.

Kiffin probably told the OM collective I have one of the top QBs in the country, WRs, TE, and RBs to compete for the National Title. All I need is a defense and I need you guys to pony up big time $$$s. They do and after 7 games he is 5-2 behind Vandy in the conference standings.

The sad fact is after this team, he is going to have to ask them again to give even more $$$s.

1) Completely agree we would have been better off with Kiffin than his three successors

2) Ole Miss seems to have a fairly low ceiling, but they do well with what they have.

3) UNC apparently wants to make a run at Golesh. I don't want to see him there or at UF.

First....I hated that Kiffin left us. Folks that say we would have had NCAA penalities if he had stayed aren't winners IMO....they are excuse makers for him leaving us in the middle of the night. Name one NCAA penality he's gotten?

I'm glad OM got beat....You folks need to understand that here in West TN there are huge flocks of OM fans. Take away the bandwagon fans...ie Florida in their good years....Bama the last 15 years the 2 largest fanbases in this area are UT and Ole Miss. 99 percent of Ole Miss fans are upgraded Vandy fans with more expensive Martini glasses. When they are a little bit good their fans are unbearable and their Rebel turds don't stink.

I have never seen a coach that's really done nothing in big time games get so much love and media attention as he does...nor have I ever witnessed a person FALL up more than he has.....He was fired at Oakland......But gets a high level UT job...Quits on us before the bowl game even though he was the coach at UT.....Leaves us in the middle of the night after a 7-5 season and he and his staff tried to poach our recruits and YAW YAW was on the phone all night telling our kids not to go to class the next day so they could come to USC......Then at Kiffin's 'Dream Job' he gets his ass fired on the airport tarmac....he's not even allowed to get on the team bus....I mean his ass was fired on acre's of concrete......Then he gets on the Saban Coaches Protection and Rehab plan during one of the high points of Bama's reign. While at Bama....he got 3 times the TV face time and media time that Saban got.....He then gets a cut his teeth again head job at FAU...one of the best areas in the state of Florida....Saban gets fed up with him and fires his ass a few days before the NC game....He then gets the OM job and fans forget the name Johnny Vaught and think Kiffin will lead them to the Almighty promise land. The bastards till this day is one of a very few SEC teams to never have made it to Atlanta for the SECCG.....He's smurk...he's juvenile....still hasn't grown up. I hope they lose everytime they tee it up because of him....

BTW.....I was at Ole Miss in the early 70's.
