Our big men got dominated tonight inside.  A lot of what UK did was inside.

The most disappointing part was that around 9 to 7 minutes we gave up three straight offensive rebounds, two of which went for easy baskets in spite of having guys in position

Dissgree

They killed us from behind the arc, #2 especially (not sure he ever missed(
Also, like at Auburn we had 2 going for blocks a few times and they got the board, just like the last play on defense Sat
There were several made paint baskets made after nice plays but the ball bounced to them
Also, apparently it not against the rules tonight for them to tackle us of jump on our backs under their basket, to the point they were SHOCKED when an occasional foul was called on them

We were tired. The AU game took a toll and it was a quick turnaround. Depth is also an issue as the season progress in a very tough league.

That said, this team has nobody who can penetrate to score or draw defenders and kick to open shooters. Z is the only option and he is just too small to consistently take the ball to the rim. There just aren't enough offensive weapons on this team.

UT: 72 shots - 14/27 from inside the arc - 11/45 from 3
UK: 50 shots - 13/26 from inside the arc - 12/24 from 3

Basically even inside the arc, but they made one more 3 on 21 fewer attempts.

I don't know what Barnes does but he represses a lot of his players shooting ability. Most of these guys scored and shot decent before they got here. Unless he has a knack for recruiting bad shooters. The competition seems to have plenty.

Well, I didn't see the entire game, just the last 12 minutes. They made quite a few from the paint during that time, but worse, they kept getting offensive rebounds.  No excuse for that.

Represses?  At one point earlier this season Lanier was 45% from 3 point range, which I believe led the entire country.  He has fallen off.  Either from the SEC being tougher or there being enough film to know how to defend him, or him being in a slump, or maybe a little of all three.

Regardless, that's a pretty ridiculous comment.

I will say this...I wonder how many shots they take in practice, and whether Barnes should emphasize that a bit more?  Zilger needs to shoot a few thousand 3s on his own time this week, IMO.

And maybe they tend to practice defense more than offense?  IDK, but they do have their work cut out on offense.

Having to play UK just 3 days after a really tough game at Auburn does suck though.

Well he didn't help his consistency. You didn't know if he was going to get 39 or 12. How did that shooting go in the Dance?

once again showing your total IGNORANCE with regards toi REALITY and sports in general and specifically (don't hate using big words to you) the DIFFERENCE between the BRAWL (or a football game as I've described it elsewhere( on the plains and a game on the West end
