They didn't have it tonight.

And Kentucky hit 50% of their threes. (12/24)

Were in it to the last 5 minutes.  Need to finish stronger.

Gonna sound harsh but, we are not a fun team to watch against decent competition.

You could say that about our football team also I guess.

We outplayed them for most of the game. Unfortunately, we forgot how to play defense at the end of both halves, and that was the difference.

This team will go as far in March as Chaz Lanier takes them. We're hard to beat when he's knocking down shots. But when he pulls his (all too frequent) disappearing act, we're very average.

Kentucky goes 24 - 48 from three in the two games and Tennessee 13 - 63. Nuff said.

You play the big boys you better be able to score....If you hold them to 25 points but you score 24, then you lose. It will get worse when March gets here because we will face teams that can score.....KY has 5 that can shoot...we have 1 and that's iffy.

Taking away the gimme FTs at the end of the game, Tennessee held UK to about 65 points on their home court. Even given their great 3-pt shooting, defense wasn't the issue imo. Once again, a lack of any offensive identity cost this team a possible win, I'm afraid.

Igor was in the zone, or so it seemed to me, and CRB benched him at the 8:40 mark in the second half (right after he had just hit a 3). He didn't return to the game until the 3:49 mark. He missed one shot in the second half.

The Jekyll and Hyde shooting struck again. I don't get players that can't shoot consistently. Lanier is frustrating to watch from one game to the next. The biggest thing UK has going for it is that Cal is gone.

Early in the season, he looked like the Second Coming of Knecht.  Unfortunately he lacks the "go to" gene that Knecht has.  He often looks a bit too passive at times in the game, and does not seem to have the "give me the ball and put it on me" mentality at the end of the game.

Having said that, he is a better pure shooter than Knecht, at least stats wise. So I guess the challenge is to use him in the best way, but his role is not 100% what Knecht did, for sure.
