That was interesting and fun.

And sad.

Sheesh. How did things get that bad?  Someone should have been sued for malpractice.

Some interesting reveals in there.

The LSU game debacle in Dooley's first year was all on him.  He overode Justin Wilcox's substitution call late in the play clock. Per Marlon, any buyin from the team, which was limited to begin with, was gone.

Also that the players were very aware that he had a losing recored at La Tech (18-19) and was 4-8 (4--8!) the year he was hired, and that the players were very aware of this.

They never really bought into Dooley, and the 3 losing seasons, breaking of the UK win streak, etc, were unfortunately rather predictable after that.

Some other nuggets....since Ogeron had coached at Ole Miss, they let him do the gameplan.  No wonder we got McClusterfizzleed

Also he said that Dooley was a dick behind the scences. I had always thought of Dooley as a nice enough guy, someone you could have a beer with, but just not a good coach.  Wrong.  Example gven was not wanting to allow the walk ons to go to team movies or even eat with the team during the one bowl (Music City) that Dooley went to.  Just very petty.

After Wilcox left after the 2011 UK debacle, the team wanted Lance Thompson . So of course Dooley hired Sunseri, some say at the instigation of Dave Hart.  Walls says that Sunseri came in and acted like he was still at bama, showing the players bama film and bragging about how great their players were.  His grad assistants were also all bama guys and would actually get into it with the players saying how great bama was.      What a disaster, but I guess the only good thing is that had our defense been even decent in 2012, we likely go 8 and 4 and go to a bowl game, and maybe not get rid of Dooley.

I thought this one was funny, Vince Dooley visited practice one time.and the players were shocked that he was "so polite and a complete gentleman, unlike his son". Marlon said the players discussed that "he must be more like his momma" and "we never even met his momma, but that had to be it".  And you know, I think they are right.  Mrs. Dooley does have a reputation!

Finally, they said that Mike Hamilton was really impressed with Dooley's organizational skills.  Which, to be fair, were really good.  But as Pennington says in the segment, that should not be the first thing you look at in a coach.  It figures Hamilton would though, right?  Never played the game, was known as a money manager.  Great Assistant AD but a terrible disaster as AD.

Ugh.  The damage done to our progam by the Dooley hiring took 10 years to recover from.

Thank goodness we are finally out  of the wilderness.

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.

Yes.  Well, Marlon said "strip club" for the Peach Bowl game Lane took them to, but I suppose it could have been both.

The reference to the facility was "two female cops with a boom box", that were called dancers.  Again, strippers.

Strippers can be hookers, but the two are not synonymous.
