Piss-poor defense, too many 2nd chance points given up. Going forward, that effort gets us beat.

Good?

Years past we've blown the doors off the first game and then struggled in subsequent games...

I thought it was very adequate.

We have an issue with the 4
The starter and the first sub are not doing well defensively
At least D-Stone can rebound (no minutes in 2nd half)
That was a major problem against the crocs

When we go small and Shack is at the 4 we play far better overall defense
Against UCLA that will be an issue

BTW, our best overall player tonight was Shack IMO
Believe it or not but Chaz has really inproved his defense (between Cade and he they flat stoned bamer's inbounds attempt, forcing the 5 sec call - just outstanding defense by Chaz for 6 seconds)
Z was abused by a bigger guard tonight but when Shack was on him he was stoned

BTW, we switched far more than normal tonight, especially in the 1st half
We were switching on maybe 3/4 of the screens, usually we try to fight through them

Also, when Cade was in with 14 for Wofford, Cade just beat the crap out of him (and the occasional guard going by (he pushed one clear across the lane in the 1st half, just launched him at high speed)

UCLA notes:
UCLA will put 15 in and run cuts for him to pass.  U-State didn't have a tall enough center to stop it, Felix and Cade will need to be on him when he is in the game
15 is skin and bones so we need to lean on him and force him to play phyisical, we can score on him as he tall but not that athletic

We need to put Shack on their #2 and force him off his spots, especially on the right side as he can flat shoot, he is good from the arc and at the elbow, very similar to Chaz
Speaking of Chaz, we should be able to run our screens and pins to free him up
Chaz when comes off a pin really elevates quickly

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
