The situation has become a growing source of frustration among administrators at Tennessee and within the locker room, sources said.

......sources told ESPN that Tennessee "wasn't going to blink and pay him any more money."

Lots of "I hear" going on but with that in mind, Basilio says that he has heard that Nico wants his money, however much that is, paid in a lump sum before July 1 when the revenue sharing goes into effect. Apparently, Nico has been receiving payments.

Does anyone else listen to Basilio? I can't vouch for his accuracy, but he is saying the Nico's family or "representatives" have been shopping him to schools on the west coast for weeks. And one of those schools spilled the beans.

If this is true: Sayanora.

Reportedly, the school that contacted Heup was Dan Lanning of Oregon

I do almost daily.   He's not always right, but he's right more often than not.

Barn door, cows, and all that

I have two thoughts.

1) If Merklinger can't beat out a guy from the portal he's pretty lousy.

2) Nico was gone somewhere after this season. Unless he was going to make huge strides, another option may be almost as good.

Agree on both, but not sure how marketable he would have been after this year.
