Demanding the same or more money as a guy who put up FAR better numbers, won the SEC Championship, and easily beat you head to head is a special kind of stupid. This would be like Will Levis demanding Mahomes money.  |

The family is now saying that it wasn't about the money but was about Heupel's offense. Apparently, they were afraid to say so at the time because it would look bad for Nico. So they chose the money ask and it ended up looking bad for Nico.  At this point, the truth is anyone's guess. |

There were usually distinct options on the routes, depending on the way that the defender(s) covered the receiver but both HH and the receiver knew the reads and the options. It didn't hurt that Hyatt had great speed and that HH was accurate, but the QB and receivers were reacting to the defense. Until it is proven to be false, I'm a believer that Nico did not have the cognitive ability to run the same offense as HH.
