Gainey seems to think so, and I'm beginning to think the staff does too, as they just backed off Duke Miles. Needless to say, it would be huge for this team.

They are betting on the come that the ncaa will allow a 5th year this summer (July is the current betting line)
I tend to doubt it because the ncaa is totally REACTIVE, not proactive about anything except to initiate punnishments that get overturned in courts

It feels like this roster is one shooter away from being a title contender. Maybe the missing link is the guy who has been here all along.

Also, if the 5th year were to pass, what if ZZ wants to return? He isn't getting any NBA interest. You can't turn the best PG in program history away, but you don't bring in a guy like Gillespie (and likely the $$$ we're paying him) to come off the bench, either. That would be quite a dilemma.

Your answer to ZZ was the signing of Gillespie
Defensively we will miss Z but driving and scoring are two things we added with Gillespie
Also, I see us going back to Rick's inside out game with the signing of Carey and the (hopefull_ return of JP
Combine the two lines above with the ball screen action (and associated pick & roll) we've developed the last two years I think we will scoreat a high level
But yes, if Gainey returned, we would be sitting pretty

That is a bullshizzle site, has rooked others before

That being said, there has been talk of Z becoming a coach
Rick has spoken about it, said he is a coach on the floor (practice and game) and hasd a future in coaching if he wanted to pursue it
