10 year deal starting next year, financial terms not disclosed- but apparently they're massive.

And......UT has control of the style and colors of the uniforms.

Plus, they can still sell merchandise made by other companies.

But, most of all,.....................the money. We don't know how much. But it sounds like $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Dr. Daniel J. White strikes again.

Oh, as an aside, at the end of the football year, Oklahoma fires Venables and hires Heupel. UT hires Gruden.

He wants to coach in the SEC. And, I think that it's obvious, he wants to coach at UT.

Which begs the question: Why didn't he go for it when it was available?

There are likely to be several good SEC jobs open this winter (probably/hopefully not UT). OU, LSU, Auburn, UF, Arky, UK are all candidates, and maybe more. If Chucky wants an SEC job, he'll get his chance.

I had always thought it was just ignorant UT fans speculating on Gruden, and we have our fair share of those.

But an article came out around the time he was getting fired from the Raiders, or shortly before he was, stating that HE was keeping the rumors going as a way of signalling to the NFL that he would consider coaching in the NFL again. Never had any real interest in college or UT, but just wanted his name "in the churn", to be noticed by the NFL.  And it worked.

I am sure he was just acting in his own interest, but I do not appreciate him using UT that way.
