Now let's settle on a format and get them released already. It's fizzleing ridiculous that we still have no clue what next year's schedule looks like. Some of us like to make our travel plans early.

The ADs will probably have physical altercations over that question. But most seem to think we'll get bammer, Vandy, and SC. UK would make the most sense, but they probably won't give us TWO tomato cans.

Personally, I don't think it matters much. The rest of the league is just going to rotate on the schedule every other year anyway. There won't be anymore easy schedules in this league.

And besides, when the SEC inevitably expands to 20 teams in a few years, permanent rivals will probably go away entirely.

How would you like this for a SEC schedule TX, Bama, OK, UGa, LSU, UF, SC, UK, Vandy.. making the playoff would be a tough task.

Does a 9 game conference schedule make that much of a difference. What if the 9th game you pick up is an annual SEC cupcake?

Well, that would mean that the next year, TX, OU, UGa, LSU, UF, and UK would rotate off, to be replaced by A&M, OM, MSU, Mizzou, Arky, and AU. That sounds pretty manageable. Though I seriously doubt they'd stack all the top teams in the same year like that.

I would hope not. I have no doubts it will increase to 20 teams in the conference. How can they really name a conference champion when there are 20 teams and you don't play 11 of them? But I never was one to feel you had to be a conference champ to win a national title. Especially with a loaded conference.
