Sorry...Year 5 and no moral victories for me. If there was a year to end the streak this was it. Very average QB by UGA standards comes into Neyland and puts up 44. The window closes again. And if Banks is a championship DC I'm a Chinese fry cook. Remember I said that.

DTs out.  CBs out... come on

We the only team that has players out? Year 5....no excuses. A very average QB came into Neyland and put up 44 in his first road game. Excuses are for losers....winner don't have to make them.

Bullshizzle. We picked up our starting QB a few months ago, you're being freaking ridiculous

Who won? Best chance in years to end the streak...The window now closes again. Typical excuses from beat down UT fans. It never ends.

If you were the coach you thought you were you could've been a college coach, yet you remained a HS coach. Typical arm chair coach, and tough to hear  I'm sure, but accurate.

I coached in college too. Nice try. Now come back with some more excuses.

Ok, but it wasn't at an SEC school.

Go to your Rusty Bucket Community College's website and complain about their performance, because your schtick is quite old. UGA is just a few years removed from dominating college football and being back-to-back national champions, and they damn sure have a MUCH high recruit rating than we do, so quit complaining about almost beating them. It's 100% bush league

Damn...you keep digging your hole deeper. I was on Ken Coopers staff at Ole Miss in the mid 70s. Where have you coached? Does almost winning go in the record books? More excuses....Almost winning. That's a good one.

Not quite the statement you thought you were going to make. Maybe you can displace CJH and right the sinking ship?

Or, I don't know, how about you realize that the game has completely changed and just enjoy the game? You do understand that was 50 fizzleing years ago, right?

What's 50 years ago have to do with losing today? Football is fundamentals no matter what decade. Again...where did you coach?

I disagree the window closes again.  We are knocking on the door!  I think it's remarkable that Aguilar is running this offense as well as he is.

Both can be true...  losing this game stings and is terrible AND we played really well and we're in a position to win which gives me hope for the season.  We can play with anyone, especially when we get our defensive starters back.

But everyone is entitled to handle this the way they prefer.  For me personally, the hurt is real but so is the hope.

I don't coach, I'm just a fan that enjoys watching UT play, but I can say that I retired not even 6 years ago yet I will not criticize my successors because my old profession has changed so much that I wouldn't recognize it today.

CJH has done amazing job turning this program around, and continously bitching about shortcomings just steals from what he's accomplished. You really should stop and just enjoy what he's giving you

You wont see UGA any weaker than they were today as long as Kirby is there. If you like maybe winning once out of every 10 years that's your business. Not mine.

I think the transfer portal is gonna spread out the talent somewhat.  UGA can't hoard all the 5 stars they once did.  I think it's why the SEC could be wild this year.  Talent is kinda more spread out, no?

Heupel doesn't actually burn it up in the portal. We would be so thin on defense if he'd use it more.
.

I know, I was mainly referring to how UGA could stack 5 stars deep in their roster before.  Those guys can now transfer to other schools and start.  A bit more parity, maybe.

Sucks to lose but today was a step forward.   We actually answered when they took control in the 2nd half.

And we have a quarterback!

Gonna be a great season.

Banks...one of the highest paid DC in the country now has the 105th ranked defense in the country. Vol fans should be proud.

All I got to say is this is on Hueple. Playing not to lose again. Plus the TD on 4th and 6 was a killer.  We should have won this game. UGa plays Bama in a couple of weeks. We are in okay shape. There will be no easy (SEC) games for us,  as usual.

Where was it ranked last year, WITHOUT the key injuries?

1 out of 5 years with a decent defense.....Bless our hearts. And the DL which Banks doesn't coach was the biggest reason for last years defense.

Are we the only school that has injuries, Pirate? And in year 5 who's responsible for being thin with a few injuries with the portal out there? If there hadn't been so many damn Indians Custer would have retired with a Generals pension. Not good excuses.

Our program is advancing. This was widely expected to be a rebuilding year. So far it isn't. It may well be when all is done.

Having said that, Kirby struggled to beat Saban. I seem to recall a blown coverage one year, a stupid fake punt another.

One could say playing one of the top programs the last few years close and losing is part of the growing pains.

If we are undefeated the rest of the way and so is uga, that may change perspectives.

I guess we will see, but I thought we'd be 8-4/9-3. As much as I dislike our D at the moment, I appreciate the offense.

There is a lot of football left.

I wasn't happy with the outcome, but damn we beat the pups everywhere but the scoreboard. BTW.. how did that team only score 28 against Austin Peay? That's what should be worrying our DC.

Heup should have tried with 7 seconds left. More games are lost at that decision...

OTOH we had just lost yards on a penalty
Also, there was a risk of a fumble
He chose the best option IMO

He means try the FG on the play we got the penalty on. I don't disagree, but I think odds of some idjut jumping offsides typically are small.
