The "drive" after the strip fumble sealed out fate
We played safe for a FG when we got the ball on the pluss side
We had them the offfense was playing well and Heup played it "safe"

At the end of the game, with uga play two high the last weries was proably the best call, thought the penalty heurt

The fact the ZERO penalties were called on them in the 2nd half is criminal, especially the mugging the TE performed on their big 1st down play in OT

Despite some feelings, FGs can be missed

Oh the crowd after the stip sack was the LOUDEST I've heard Neyland since the 22 bamer game

This is the killer IMO, and when  their WR pushed off just before he caught the TD pass the tied the game without an OPI call told me all I needed to know

True, he should've knocked them out after the fumble.

You go and win the fooking game.

More can go wrong in the kicking game than any play...Good snap...good catch...good placement....good kick. Not to mention the blocking. You screw up one of those and you can be screwed. You go and do everything under your power to win the damn game.

For sure.  Wish Heupel was the killer we thought he was early in his tenure here.

Yea, I was hoping we would ground it out and score a TD. I thought we could put it away.

And it did by 1. You never go for a FG if you have a chance to go win the game.

There are definitely areas to improve, but we're not looking up at anyone now.

Considering our dearth of DTs and CBs the defense did as well as it could.

Speaking of which, Austin Pricey made it sound as if McCoy may be ready to return in some capacity, but agents could have other ideas.

Our vaulted defense gave up 502 yards at home yesterday. That's from one of the highest paid DC in college. Horse sheet.

My brother and I were screaming at Heuple to kick the field goal with 7 left. Unfortunately, the TV signal only goes one way.

And UGA was at 100 percent huh? We are the only team in the country that has injuries and has players out, right? Our defense is weak right down the middle all the way to the slow safeties. Our linebackers aren't good...what's your excuse for that. 5 years in and your blaming a few injuries as an excuse. Losers make excuses....winners don't have too. Congrats on your excuses.

UGA's talent level is better than ours, but we are closing the gap.  We are insanely better under Heupel than where we were.  We are finally getting an elite recruiting class.  I'm struck by you calling us losers.  We made the inaugural playoffs last year and have a shot again this year.

How about losing the Negavol stuff?  I know, I know, get off your porch.

L goes in the record column....9 in a row. 5-21 against UGA this century. When's the last time we beat Florida in Gainesville?....what about at Bama? But...but...we are competitive. Losing is a loss no matter how competitive you are.

A young man missed a game winning FG in one of the most exciting games we have seen in a long time.

Give it a rest.

No one asked, but I'll weigh in.

We should not have lost that game.  The penalty on 3rd down was inexcusable, even more than the missed kick.  Never should have given up that 4th down TD.  Should not have allowed the easy 2 pointer.

But we are worlds better than we have been in past years.  We went toe to toe with a top 5 team and nearly pulled it off.

I think our odds of winning in Gainesville this year are excellent, and I'd call bammer a coin toss at this point.

Other tough games start with OU then Ark, but both are at home.  Vandy is a bigger worry than usual, and MSU could sneak up on us.

Bottom line...season is not over and still a lot to play for.

As much as you are complaining about Heupel playing not to lose, which he did in the 4th quarter on a couple drives, lets be real, that has not really been the case. It wasn't for 3 quarters of this game, just the 4th.

My mind goes back to bama '23, and an attempted 4th down conversion at midfield early third quarter trailing only by 7.

I mean, come on, you can overdo the other way also (taking ridiculous risks to win), and if anything, that has been more Heupel's tendency to date.

What was Kirby's problem losing all those close games to Saban?  I thought the dumbass would never beat Saban! I think at one point he was 1-7.

It can take time to develop into a true championship program. My take is we are on the way.  We have a lot of tough games left, we will soon find out how well Heupel handles the rest of the season. I am keeping an open mind.
