Really wish we had last years defense with Aguilar.

If you had said you wish AG was our QB last year, I'd be down like four flat tires.

Unfortunately, it's becoming quite obvious that Nico held us back last year

Yep.

UCLA lost today to Northwestern 17-14.

I'm not laughing. You're laughing.

OK. I'm laughing.

Whew. I need to go stress eat now.

I AM TOO OLD FOR THAT MUCH STRESS.

This was so true for me that I had to stop watching.

Heupel seems to have at least 2 games a year where we just play awful.  This felt like one of those for some reason.

And somehow we won.  The D at times seemed to be non existent.  Very perplexing.

Also, side Q?. If it?s a bleeping WHITE OUT, why is the F is Pederast State (PeeSU) wearing navy freaking jerseys????

My understanding is that the visiting team has to agree for the home team to wear white. At least that's the way it was in the past. LSU used to have to ask the visiting team to allow them to wear the white jerseys when they were at home. I remember that one time, the visiting team didn't agree. Now, the rule may have changed. But that's the way it was.

I was right when I said we will have to outscore all our SEC opponents in lieu of a stout defense.

Yeah Heupel shat the bed on time management. Not only did we run off too much time with a bit over a minute left, but after the last first down we should have callled timeout with 13 seconds left, would have saved some precious time.

Just glad the Catholic official saved us in OT (Bishop  )

Updated Banks SEC defensive stats through yesterday.

14th of 16 in opponent's total offense.

15th of 16 in scoring defense.

16 of 16 in pass defense.

Charles Barkely says that's turrible.

Truth is, we have played a lot of good offenses, but bama was able to hold uga to 21 in Athens.

Syracuse and UAB are not great teams overall, but they both have good QBs (had in Syracuses case, he is currently out).  But if we had played worse offenses, I am not sure being 12th/13th in those categories is really any better.

Whatever else you say about Banks, our D has usually improved as the season wears on.  I think one season was the exception, but its generally been true. Hope it is this year!

Hobbs just tweeted that he's back. And hopefully McCoy will be as well. If they're both 100%, that should make a huge difference. In Hood and McCoy (if healthy) we have two lockdown corners capable of playing on an island. That should free up Banks to get a lot more exotic in his blitz schemes.
