We are 1 win better if that's a lot to you.

About to be 2 better.

And here is the thing.  The "no such thing as a moral victory" and "all that matters is if you win crowd" is correct, on a game by game and season basis.

But where style points matter is in the potential for future success.  You yourself have very strongly stated that we could, or should, be either 10-2 or 12-0.  No doubt that's true.  We EASILY could be 11-0 and staring 12-0 and a playoff run in the face.

Here's the deal.  No one in their right mind would say that about last year.  We were blown out by Ole Miss, OU, and bammer.  Those games were not even close.  The most anyone could claim about last year was that .... MAYBE .... we could have been 9-3.

8-4 would have been a more logical thing to claim.  If we had beaten UGa and UF, both of which were close games, we could have been 8-4.  Mizzou won the East and although we only lost by 8 we scored late to make it closer.  I'd say maybe that was a legitimate loss, and we shouldn't just claim the Vols could have won all the close ones (which is why I have two records above for this season).

The bottom line is that by anyone's opinion, even all the opposing fans I have discussed this with, we are much, much better this year, and not just because of the record.

Next year I expect great things for the Vols.

Actually, at the moment we are two better than last year
We were 5-6 at this point last year
We win to maintain our two game advantage

All men dream: but not equally.
Those who Dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds
Wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the
Dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they
May act their dream with open eyes, to make it Possible.
This I did.
