I'd laugh, but I might start crying

What?s interesting is that they seem to be pretty good at run blocking.  Sampson leads the SEC in rushing.  But pass blocking?  They?re like a bunch of matadors out there.

The left side, for most of the night, couldn't run block to save their lives

On Sampson?s 23 yard TD run,  Heard was trucking it down field and leading the way.

On Sampson?s 23 yard TD run,  Heard was trucking it down field and leading the way.
We pulled both the LG and LT on the play, the LG had the kickout block that opened the hole (TE sealed the inside) and then Heard was moving down and had a good block around the 10 to open the lane to the endzone

Heard also had a good block the 2nd time Sampson scored in OT

I spent some time watching the OL.
As the game went on Heard seemed to get his feet under him and played much better.  Was he perfect? Absolutely not but you saw the potential for sure
He needs to work on his initial set on pass plays, tends to get flat footed
A big observation for me was he didn't seem to get as winded as he did at Ark. A lot of his best plays were in the 4th and OT

The biggest issue to me on the OL is the right tackle.  Three (3) major penalties and a tendency to play bullfighter rather than RT
If you are going to make a change on the OL, RT is where you make it IMO

Pass blocking also suffers from Nico holding on tonthe ball TOO DAM LONG. He needs to work on that.

I did see a lot more quick passes in the second half, hope that continues.

Yeah, rather than anticipating the receiver coming open out of a route Nico seems to often wait to SEE the receiver open before letting it go and by then it?s too late.  The feel and anticipation just isn?t there.

One play specifically late on the game, Nico completed a pass over the middle to Brazzel towards the south end zone.  But deeper down the field Bru broke WIDE OPEN and Nico just held it held it and hit Brazzel.  Bru would?ve scored.

I think that there were several situations like that during the game, but he's young, so I kinda expected it to happen this year
