Doug Mathews noted last Sunday that we started the season with 4 defensive coaches and 6 offensive ones. Now that Brumbaugh is gone only 3 full-timers are on D, plus Pruitt, who can no longer assist with the secondary. Since 5 DBs are usually in the game this is a problem. It also speaks poorly of the work being done on offense with that many coaches. |

My read on what the announcer just said he was told by CJP: I don't want to put my young QBs in harms way so I'm not playing them. Also I think that's why JG isn't very good - because of all of the lumps he took early in his career.
Did I interpret that incorrectly?
