I'm no college football play calling guru.

But that play calling sucked. In my humble opinion.

Weinke and Friend have to go. And we all know neither is going anywhere.

Friend has been arguably the biggest liability since day one.

I think you take the FG there.  At least gives you a chance.  Especially if you have no faith in your QB.

Shortcomings of JG (not his fault he's playing) have been known for years, but there's complete lack of preparation behind him for the past two seasons.

That line of thinking has merit.

Horrible second half again    Bad on both sides of the ball.  WTF is up with that, happens every single game.

Should have kicked the FG in the 4th.

Harrison tried, but it was too late.

At least our D did step up in the 4th. If only they had done that 15 minutes earlier.

This season is officially shot.  We should still beat Vandy and by some miracle might upset Auburn, but otherwise we are staring 3-7 in the face.

Bad coached team.....And no we aren't beating Auburn.

Bailey should have been gotten ready after the KY game....Coaching malpractice

We conceded the game the first half when we let JG only throw 8 times for 47 yards because they have no faith in him......Like Ark was going to let us keep running it....They adjusted at the half and our non coaches didn't. Pruitt is done....he'll be here another year but he's done. Next we'll probably watch recruits start jumping ship.

It isn't just recruits that may jump ship if the NCAA allows that one-time transfer next August.

South Carolina fans are talking about Freeze. Their problem is Muschamp's buy out.

CJP sounding like Butch Jones in the press conference:  he thought the 42 yard FG wasn't a good decision because Cimaglia was a game-time decision and he thought going for the 4th and 3 was the best option.  Just own it, admit that you screwed the call.

I see a lot of people saying they would have kicked the 42 yard field goal on that 4th down instead of going for it. While I’m as skeptical as anyone about the staff, and think HB should have been getting the bulk of the snaps for multiple games now, I can live with the decision to forgo the FG attempt. I’m not sure UT had been in Ark territory in the 2H before that possession, the WR was open and HB made a good enough throw, but the refs missed an obvious PI. If that penalty is correctly called who knows what happens next. The calls and bounces just didn’t go UT’s way tonight. That doesn’t excuse the lack of 2H adjustments (for the 4th game in a row) it just makes it that much difficult to win the game.

After Cimaglia hit from 48 and 50 earlier in the game.

The season is lost. We need to get Bailey experience for next year. And spare fans of seeing the QB’s we have been watching.

I agree that the pass almost worked, and coulda woulda had the refs not blown the call.

Having said that, we went right down the field and had a shot at 6 at the end of the game.  I will add that if it's two TDs, we don't need a two point conversion which would have been tough anyway.

But what really lost the game was the third quarter.  No 4th quarter heroics necessary without the 3rd quarter collapse.

The 3rd quarter was definitely what beat this team.  After the 3rd, I think Arkansas dialed it back offensively because they were confident that we could not score enough to win.  I think that if they had needed more points in the 4th quarter, the 3rd quarter scoring barrage would have easily extended into the 4th.

The drive at the end of the game was mostly due to the fact that they were quite happy to give us the dump off over the middle.  Had we been within one score, their defense would have been much different in that situation.

After sleeping on it, I still disagree with not kicking the FG but I'm not as upset over the gamble.  I also may have incorrectly interpreted CJP's reply in the presser - I took it that he wasn't confident of Cimaglia's ability to hit the kick.  Maybe he just meant that he thought that getting the TD was the best option.  If that is what he meant, that was not as Butch-esque as I initially thought.

The pass was late and he was clearly interfered with
Hyatt ran a good route, exactly how he should have, Bailey was late but still, a better pass than JG would have thrown, since it was inside his body frame - JG would have gotten Hyatt laid out

agree that our D was helped mightily by Arkansas abandoning the hurry up and also passing less to run the clock.  Still, had they continued to throw it maybe we get a pick?  Our int percentage is terrible though so I wouldn't count on it.

Also agree that Bailey was hitting easy wide open passes, but it did move us down the field and he did at least hit them. I would add that we really don't know that much about Bailey yet, but what I did see was mostly good at least.  I truly hope he sees the field against Auburn (or Tamu, whoever we play next, too lazy to look it up.  (-:  ).
